Simstream management appointments
Simstream Group appoints new senior leadership team to drive business expansion in Europe, Middle East and Africa. Specialist network and IT security solutions consultants to expand from bases in Paris and Dubai.
15 January 2015 (Paris, France and Dubai, United Arab Emirates): Simstream Group (Simstream), the specialist network and IT security consulting company operating from Paris, France and Dubai, United Arab Emirates, has announced the appointment of Gael Marronnier as Chairman and Lionel Reina as Group CEO. Mr Marronnier is a founder of Simstream. Mr Reina, who joined the company in December 2014, previously held senior management positions in Accenture Middle East and Orange Business Services EEMEA, and will lead the business from both regional bases in Dubai and Paris.
Simstream Group was founded in France in 2000, specializing in complex IT projects and in multicultural environments in challenging markets, where an external perspective and innovative approach is required. The service portfolio comprises IT governance, project management and consulting. Simstream has worked with multinational clients in more than 30 countries on projects including the Dubai Tram, in the UAE.
Simstream has built a substantial client portfolio of leading French multinational companies, from telecoms to banking and finance, energy, aviation, industry and services. The company opened an operation in Dubai in 2013 to support these clients, as they expanded into the Middle East and Africa regions. The company is now embarking on a new expansion programme from the two bases in Paris and Dubai, with the aim of growing the business in Europe, as well as selectively in parts of Africa and the Middle East.

About Lionel Reina
In 2013, Lionel Reina was appointed Accenture Middle East Director in the Gulf Region, responsible for leveraging Accenture’s global and regional consulting, technology and outsourcing experience and skills.
Prior to this, in 2012, he was appointed General Delegate and Chairman of the Board, Saudi Arabia at Orange Business Services, the B2B division of the Orange Group, one of the region’s largest ICT employers.
From 2004 – 2011, Mr Reina was Orange Business Services Vice President of the EEMEA region (Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa) which covered more than 80 countries.
Whilst in this role, Mr Reina was elected Vice President of the French Chamber of Commerce (FBC) in Dubai, where he was also President and creator of the FBC’s C-level networking group called ‘Le Club’, which also enjoyed the support of the French Government trade minister.
In his earlier career, Lionel Reina joined France Telecom in Germany before moving to Deutsche Telekom in an international business development role. In 1998, he moved to Global One, where he was Head of Sales and Marketing for South America. In 2001, when Equant and Global One merged, he became VP Sales for Western Europe, based in London. Equant was rebranded under the Orange Business Services name, in 2006. Educated in France and Germany, Lionel Reina holds a degree in Business Administration.
In 2011, Mr Reina was named on the ‘Power list’ of top networking vendor senior executives by Network Middle East Magazine.
