Simstream Group (Simstream), the specialist network and IT security solutions consulting company operating from Paris, France and Dubai, United Arab Emirates, is partnering with SES, the world’s leading satellite operator, to deliver satellite network management projects to clients. This follows Simstream’s recent announcement of the award of a satellite network contract by the Banque des Etats de l’Afrique Centrale, connecting 25 sites across six countries.
“SES is delighted to be partnering with Simstream Group and providing support for Simstream projects and clients, including the Banque des Etats de l’Afrique Centrale. We believe that the Middle East & Africa region, as well as Europe, presents many attractive satellite network business opportunities and this collaborative approach is the most effective way to address this market,” said Ibrahima Guimba-Saidou, Senior Vice President Commercial Africa at SES.
SES provides reliable and secure satellite communications solutions to broadcast, telecom, corporate and government customers worldwide. SES owns and operates a fleet of over 50 geostationary satellites that are complemented by a network of teleports and offices located around the globe. This infrastructure enables SES’s customers to reach 99% of the world’s population.
SES is headquartered in Luxembourg and operates worldwide through dedicated regional teams. The company is listed on Euronext Paris and on the Luxembourg Stock Exchange (SESG) www.ses.com.
Lionel Reina, Chief Executive Officer of Simstream Group, added: “This new project partnership with SES is the perfect opportunity to collaborate and strengthen our go-to-market model for satellite network services and an approach that will be replicated with other clients and projects, in the banking sector but also in other industries across Africa and the Middle East. We already have a growing portfolio of managed services that we are now offering to these regional markets and which can be applied across a range of industry sectors. There is a clear and strong synergy between the two companies, on a strategic and technical level, that is benefitting Simstream clients and this was demonstrated at our recent joint management meeting in Paris.”
