CCF/HSBC is a French and International bank company. It’s the world’s second largest bank with 60 million customers.
In 2000, HSBC asked Simstream to provide a SMS based system in order to replace an end of life pager system from Orange. The bank needed to be able to follow-up IT alerts during out-ofoffice schedules (nights, week-ends and holidays).
SAM had to meet the requirements on:
• Offering alarm events detection from two monitors in real time,
• Offering a precise correlation of incidents with the rules of predefined alerts,
• Alerting people depending on the chosen media and level of responsibility,
• Taking cognizance of the resolution of the incident.
Simstream delivered since 2000, four successive versions of SAM software, based on an HP server Cluster, managing two supervisor systems (HP OV and Mainframe), 3000 servers and handling 100 events per day.
Currently, SAM is active in more than 3,000 servers and allows the management of more than 100 events per day
